พระบาทสมเด็จพระเจ้าอยู่หัว สมเด็จพระนางเจ้าฯ พระบรมราชินี เสด็จพระราชดำเนิน ทรงบำเพ็ญพระราชกุศลวิสาขบูชา 2569 ณ พระอุโบสถวัดพระศรีรัตนศาสดาราม พระบรมมหาราชวัง
เมื่อวันที่ 30 พ.ค.2569 เวลา 18.10 น. พระบาทสมเด็จพระเจ้าอยู่หัว และสมเด็จพระนางเจ้าฯ พระบรมราชินี เสด็จพระราชดำเนินโดยรถยนต์พระที่นั่ง ไปในการตั้งเปรียญพระภิกษุ และสามเณร เนื่องในพระราชพิธีทรงบำเพ็ญพระราชกุศลวิสาขบูชา พุทธศักราช 2569 ณ พระอุโบสถวัดพระศรีรัตนศาสดาราม พระบรมมหาราชวัง
ในการนี้ พระบาทสมเด็จพระเจ้าอยู่หัว เสด็จขึ้นชานหน้าพระอุโบสถวัดพระศรีรัตนศาสดาราม พระราชทานพระบรมราชวโรกาสให้ พล.อ.ท.ภักดี แสง-ชูโต รักษาราชการแทนผู้อำนวยการกองพระราชพิธี กราบบังคมทูลรายงานจำนวนเทียนรุ่ง ที่ทรงพระราชอุทิศพระราชทานไปจุดบูชาพระรัตนตรัยตามพระอารามหลวงในวันวิสาขบูชา และวันถวายพระเพลิงพระพุทธเจ้า
รวม 7 พระอาราม ได้แก่ วัดพระศรีรัตนศาสดาราม วัดบวรนิเวศวิหาร วัดเบญจมบพิตรดุสิตวนาราม วัดราชบพิธสถิตมหาสีมาราม วัดราชประดิษฐสถิตมหาสีมาราม วัดบรมนิวาส กรุงเทพมหานคร และวัดนิเวศธรรมประวัติ จ.พระนครศรีอยุธยา
จากนั้น พระบาทสมเด็จพระเจ้าอยู่หัว ทรงพระสุหร่าย ทรงเจิมเทียนทุกเล่มที่ทรงพระราชอุทิศ เสร็จแล้ว เสด็จเข้าพระอุโบสถ ทรงวางกระทงดอกไม้บนพานหน้าฐานชุกชี ทรงจุดธูปเทียนเครื่องนมัสการท้ายที่นั่ง แล้วทรงจุดเทียนห่วงบูชาพระพุทธมหามณีรัตนปฏิมากร
จากนั้น ทรงจุดธูปเทียนเครื่องนมัสการท้ายที่นั่งบูชาพระพุทธยอดฟ้าจุฬาโลกย์ และพระพุทธเลิศหล้านภาไลย เสร็จแล้ว ทรงจุดธูปเทียนเครื่องนมัสการทองใหญ่ที่หน้าธรรมาสน์ศิลา ทรงกราบ สมเด็จพระนางเจ้า ฯ พระบรมราชินี ทรงจุดธูปเทียนเครื่องนมัสการทองทิศที่หน้าธรรมาสน์ศิลา ทรงกราบ
จากนั้น พระบาทสมเด็จพระเจ้าอยู่หัว ทรงประเคนพัดยศเปรียญแด่พระภิกษุ และสามเณร ที่สอบได้เปรียญธรรม 9 ประโยค และ 6 ประโยค ประจำปี 2569 จำนวน 304 รูป พระสงฆ์เจริญชัยมงคลคาถา จบแล้ว ทรงประเคนผ้าไตรแด่พระสงฆ์ที่เจริญชัยมงคลคาถา
ต่อจากนั้น พระราชทานพระบรมราชวโรกาสให้ ผู้ชนะการประกวดแต่งหนังสือสอนพระพุทธศาสนาแก่เด็ก ประจำปี 2569 หัวข้อ “ซื่อกินไม่หมด คดกินไม่นาน” รางวัลที่ 1 นายกฤตชัย ชุมแสง รางวัลที่ 2 นาวาตรีหญิง สุธิญา พูนเอียด และรางวัลที่ 3 นายจักรกฤษณ์ มณีวรรณ์ เฝ้าทูลละอองธุลีพระบาท รับพระราชทานรางวัล เสร็จแล้ว ทรงหลั่งทักษิโณทก พระสงฆ์ถวายอนุโมทนา ถวายอดิเรก
จากนั้น พระบาทสมเด็จพระเจ้าอยู่หัว และสมเด็จพระนางเจ้า ฯ พระบรมราชินี ทรงกราบที่หน้าเครื่องนมัสการทรงรับการถวายความเคารพ ของผู้มาเฝ้าทูลละอองธุลีพระบาท แล้วเสด็จออกจากพระอุโบสถ ประทับรถยนต์พระที่นั่ง เสด็จพระราชดำเนินกลับ
“Their Majesties the King and Queen” Perform Royal Meritorious Deeds for Visakha Bucha Day 2026
Their Majesties the King and Queen traveled to perform royal meritorious deeds on the occasion of Visakha Bucha Day 2026 at the Uposatha Hall (Ordination Hall) of Wat Phra Si Rattana Satsadaram (The Temple of the Emerald Buddha) within the Grand Palace.
On May 30, 2026, at 6:10 p.m., His Majesty the King and Her Majesty the Queen traveled by royal motorcar to preside over the royal ceremony to confer ecclesiastical titles upon monks and novices. This was held as part of the Royal Merit-Making Ceremony for Visakha Bucha Day, Buddhist Era 2569, at the Uposatha Hall of Wat Phra Si Rattana Satsadaram within the Grand Palace.
On this occasion, His Majesty the King ascended to the front terrace of the Uposatha Hall of Wat Phra Si Rattana Satsadaram, granting a royal audience to Air Vice Marshal Bhakdee Saeng-chuto, Acting Director of the Royal Ceremony Division, who presented a royal report on the number of royal dawn candles (Thian Rung). These candles were royally dedicated and granted to be lit in reverence of the Triple Gem at various royal monasteries on Visakha Bucha Day and the Day of the Buddha’s Cremation (Atthami Bucha Day), totaling seven royal monasteries: Wat Phra Si Rattana Satsadaram, Wat Bowonniwet Vihara, Wat Benchamabophit Dusitwanaram, Wat Ratchabophit Sathitmahasimaram, Wat Ratchapradit Sathitmahasimaram, and Wat Boromniwat in Bangkok, as well as Wat Niwet Thammaprawat in Phra Nakhon Si Ayutthaya Province.
Thereafter, His Majesty the King performed the ritual of lustration (sprinkling sacred water) and anointed every royally dedicated candle. Upon completion, His Majesty entered the Uposatha Hall, placed a floral offering on a tray in front of the decorative base of the main Buddha image (Than Chukchi), lit the incense and candles of the lesser regalia (Khrueang Namatsakan Thai Thinang), and then lit the circular hanging candle (Thian Huang) to worship Phra Phuttha Maha Mani Rattana Patimakon (The Emerald Buddha).
Following this, His Majesty lit the incense and candles of the lesser regalia to worship Phra Phuttha Yodfa Chulaloke and Phra Phuttha Loetla Nabhalai (the Buddha images dedicated to Kings Rama I and Rama II). Upon completion, His Majesty lit the grand gold incense and candles of the principal regalia (Khrueang Namatsakan Thong Yai) in front of the stone pulpit (Thammat Sila) and paid his respects. Her Majesty the Queen then lit the secondary gold incense and candles (Khrueang Namatsakan Thong Thit) in front of the stone pulpit and paid her respects.
Subsequently, His Majesty the King royally presented ecclesiastical fans (Phat Yot) to 304 monks and novices who successfully passed the examinations for the 9th and 6th grades of Pariyan Dhamma for the year 2026, while the chapter of monks chanted the Chaiya Mongkhon Katha (victory auspicious chants). Once the chanting concluded, His Majesty presented monastic robes (Pha Trai) to the chanting monks.
Following that, His Majesty the King granted a royal audience to the winners of the 2026 Buddhist Textbook Writing Competition for Children, held under the topic “Su Kin Mai Mot, Khot Kin Mai Nan” (Honesty lasts, dishonesty does not). The first-prize winner, Mr. Krittachai Chumsang; the second-prize winner, Lieutenant Commander Sutiya Pooniad, Royal Thai Navy; and the third-prize winner, Mr. Jakkrit Maneewan, were received in audience to accept their royal awards. Upon completion, His Majesty poured the ceremonial water of dedication (Thaksinothok), and the monks chanted prayers of appreciation and offered special blessings (Adirek).
Thereafter, His Majesty the King and Her Majesty the Queen paid their respects in front of the principal regalia, acknowledged the salutations of those gathered in the royal audience, and then departed the Uposatha Hall to board the royal motorcar to return to the royal residence.
